How vitamin B6 can help you to reduce acne

Hey guys,

So, some time ago I've read that high doses of vitamin B6 could help you to reduce acne. I was sure that wouldn't be my case because I was eating a healthy diet. The vegan diet is usually balanced in nutrients but there can be some special cases.

In addition, looking back, I think that demanding physical activity requires way more nutrition than a common daily life without it.

It all started when I came to England and I've been introduced to Marmite...and I consumed it on a daily basis. Soon I've started noticing some changes in my skin. It's a yeast extract and it's also fortified with vitamin Bs...so it made me think...what if the reason I couldn't get rid of acne is as simple as neglecting an essential point in my nutrition???

Well, it happens that the vegan diet is not so abundant in vitamin B6, even though the highest source is chickpeas, the rest of the list of foods, which contain this vitamin are animal products. Other vegan origins like potatoes, banana, etc...only contain less than half an amount of B6. Of course, if you eat tons of these may solve your problem.

You've probably heard of that vitamin B complex supports skin health. I'd advise you to take a B6 or a B complex supplement or eat foods that are fortified with this vitamin.

In addition, B6 plays a role in regulating your hormonal system, and healthy hormonal balance is crucial for long-term well-being.

Hope it helps!
