How to get rid of stretchmarks part 2 - supplementation

.

In case you haven't read my previous post about the devices, which can enhance skin recovery and blood flow, make sure to read that first on this link, then come back here.

So, if you have already increased the blood flow in the skin, that gives a better opportunity for skin-healing nutrients to actually reach the skin.

In case you were wondering, there are quite a few, which can enhance collagen production, so here we go.

1. Collagen

Some cosmetics, especially, which are created for mature skin, can contain this ingredient. But collagen is actually a big molecule and there's no insurance that your skin can use it in that way.

From the internal aspect, once, my cosmetician told me that she started taking high amounts of collagen powder and her wrinkles started smoothing out very nicely after a few weeks. She took 10-30 g of collagen powder every day.

My experiment with collagen. I'm a vegetarian but I follow that diet for health and I'm a health nut so I definitely had to try this. It worked for me. I would recommend it as a few weeks collagen therapy, because I don't like animal protein but this one is amazing so, I can recommend it. If you know about some amazing plant-based options, let me know.

There are some vegan options like sea moss, if you want to stick with the vegan/vegetarian option.

2. MSM - methylsulfonylmethane

Sulfur is the 3rd most abundant element in your body. You need it for proteins, detoxification, immunity, etc...

Collagen contains sulfur, as well as protein structures, use sulfur for stabilization. MSM in an organic sulfur compound that will help you support your joints, skin, and overall well-being.

You can get MSM powder, capsules, or tablets. I like to take the powder but it's really bitter, so if you are not used to that, maybe you can try the other forms.

3. Vitamin C

Vitamin C is essential for collagen production. You might think that this would be the easiest to supplement on. Well, this is actually, a tricky issue. For a long time, scientists thought that ascorbic acid equals vitamin C. Nowadays, they've come to the realization that vitamin C is actually a complex. When you consume the fruits and veggies, they contain so many more compounds than just ascorbic acid, and some of them help it get absorbed. If you just take ascorbic acid, on the long run, you might end up having deficiencies in other important substances.

Thankfully, fresh fruits and veggies are abundant sources of this vitamin, also, rosehip is one of the highest sources of vitamin C. If you wanna make rose hip tea, make sure to only use warm water, maximum 40 degrees Celsius because higher temperatures can ruin the vitamin content.

Acerola, goji berries, blackcurrants, kale, spinach are also higher in vitamin C.

4. Juicing

Fresh vegetable juice is one of the BEST things you can give to your body. It's high in vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.

I would recommend you juicing carrots, celery, spinach, and ginger. Also, eating as much green leafy vegetables as possible will help you provide all the skin-healing ingredients you will need to get rid of stretch marks.

Make sure to avoid refined sugar because it can damage collagen. Refined sugar accelerates aging.

Have a blessed day! <3
