Juicer types

There are various juicers on the market. Heat and metal parts can decrease the quality of your juice. You can buy a juicer from 50 $, and the BEST juicer is actually the juicer you use, but if you want to level up your game, it’s definitely better to pay attention to the aspects I’ve talked about.

My family has a Lexen Healthy Juicer (the electric type) at home. it’s a cold presser, it has BPA free plastic parts, and it’s quite affordable. You can buy one for about 120$.

The cheapest juicers usually have metal juicing parts and use high speed to extract the juice. The juice gets heated up and only about 40% of the nutrients are preserved. The oxidization is quick and you have to drink your juice within 15 minutes to get some nutrition because the nutritional value is decreasing rapidly. On the other hand, it’s fast and very affordable.

The citrus press is totally great and cheap but it's only good for citrus fruits.

The slow pressers use low speed to remove the fiber from the juice. The juice doesn’t heat up so much. More nutrients are preserved and the oxidization is slower. You can store these juices in the fridge up to 2-3 days in a vacuum container. There are many types of high-end juicers, most of them have metal parts because plastic definitely wears out after a while. I still prefer ours because the replacement parts are not so expensive.

It’s good to strain the juice again after the juicing to remove all the pulp, preferably with a plastic strainer.

If you want to learn more about this topic, there are some juicing experts, who know WAY MORE about juicer than I do. John Kohler has tons of videos on this topic.

Hope this helps!

Leave a comment, what kind of juicers do you prefer?
