Juicing for health




Juicing can be VERY beneficial for health but to gain all the benefits, you have to know some rules.

First, let make a few things clear.


Vegetable = distilled water + fiber + enzymes + vitamins + minerals


During the process of juicing, you remove the fiber from the vegetable and get all the nutrition. It takes only 15 minutes until the juice can be absorbed. The fiber slows down the absorption of the nutritious materials but it’s necessary to push out toxins as well as to feed the good bacteria in the intestines.


Removing fiber has its advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages has been mentioned above. Another good point is that when you are replacing your meals with juices, let it be one meal or a juice fast, you save the energy for healing, which would otherwise go to digesting the foods. During the process of digestion, the blood is mostly around the GI tract. When you don’t eat and drink juices, all the blood can go to the areas that need healing.


On the other hand, removing the fiber from the food can cause some problems. Many people think that fruit juices are healthy. I agree that some of them are BUT removing fiber from the fruit means that there’s nothing to control the absorption of the sugar. If you juice fruits, which are high in sugar, like oranges, pineapple, etc...you will consume high amounts of sugar, which can be absorbed right away. Some people say that there’s no difference between drinking a soda and a store-bought fruit juice from the sugar aspect. I think that drinking fruit juices from time to time can be OK but due to the fact I’ve mentioned above, I’ve minimized them in my life and I feel better.

You can add some fruit with your veggies when you are juicing, yet, I would highly recommend focusing mostly on the vegetables.


The fruit juices that can be beneficial on their own are lemon, grapefruit, pomegranate, and grape juice. The last one is very high in sugar but it’s also high in antioxidant. I personally, would rather advise eating the dark grapes in the whole form.


Dark green leafy vegetables are the most beneficial, especially for healing and detoxification.

Juices are raw, living supplements, which contain high amounts of enzymes. The enzymes are necessary for life and help the digestion. Also, many nutrients are destroyed if they are heated up.


During the process of juicing, it’s definitely better to use organic foods but commercial products are OK, too. The pesticides and toxins usually bind to the fiber. When you remove the fiber, you remove most of the harmful chemicals.


In case somebody is doing a juice fast, enemas or laxatives + absorbents are necessary.
